Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England (SWE).
• Significant experience with children and families in a UK statutory social work setting, focusing on safeguarding.
• Proven ability to manage complex child protection cases and deliver effective interventions.
• Proven mentoring experience supporting less experienced practitioners while role modelling best practice.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, legal frameworks and professional issues in child protection.
• Excellent ability to build trust with families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of a diverse caseload of complex child protection cases and ensure appropriate interventions.
• Offer expert guidance and mentorship to colleagues to boost team effectiveness.
• Chair meetings and engage with stakeholders to advocate for children and families.
• Collaborate with external partners to provide comprehensive support to families.
• Contribute to reflective practice and service development.
