Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) are seeking enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join our Occupational Therapy teams and the Experts at Hand programme in North Devon. This 0.8 WTE role is embedded within CFHD's Physical and Sensory Pathway, a large multidisciplinary service bringing together OT, Physiotherapy and SLT to improve outcomes for children and young people across Devon.

Responsibilities

• Assess and intervene for children with functional, developmental and sensory processing needs.
• Manage a defined caseload under supervision of senior Occupational Therapists.
• Work with children, families, educational settings and partner agencies to support participation, independence and achievement of goals.
• Provide advice, support and training to parents, carers, schools and professionals.
• Contribute to the Experts at Hand model by supporting inclusive practice in education settings.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Specialist Practitioners.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and work in line with professional, organisational and legal requirements; participate in supervision and continuing professional development activities.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and evaluation of outcomes; promote safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people at all times.
