Your Role And Responsibilities

The Healthy Living Service works with children and young people aged 0-19 offering evidence-based support to children, young people, and their families where the child/ young person is overweight to help remove the barriers to achieving a healthy weight. As part of the Healthy Living Service, you will:

work alongside colleagues to provide a health screening service across Suffolk
be responsible for undertaking screening within schools to include growth measurements as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) of children in Reception class (aged 4 to 5) and Year 6 (aged 10 to 11)
undertake hearing and vision screening within schools for children in Reception class (aged 4 to 5)

You will need:

an appropriate Level 2 qualification, or equivalent experience, or evidence of skills
great communication skills (written and verbal)
the ability to provide advice and information with clarity and impartiality to meet the needs of the recipient.
