Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nursing Associate/Assistant Practitioner to join the Children’s Outpatient Department in North Manchester. The role collaborates with Registered Nurses to deliver holistic care to children with complex medical needs across clinics and community settings.

You will work under supervision, bridging care between Health Care Support Workers and Registered Nurses, while adhering to NMC standards and delivering family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC Register with a Foundation Degree or Assistant Practitioner with Foundation Degree.
• Recent clinic healthcare experience is required.
• Ability to supervise and support junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe, effective care to children in outpatient settings.
• Support with clinics, patient preparation, and family-centered care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and work within MDT.
• Safely undertake nursing procedures within competence.
• Assist with plaster room knowledge and dressing requirements as applicable.
