Kingshurst Primary School is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Support Worker to work full-time with children and their families. The role focuses on assisting safeguarding leads and providing practical support to promote safety, wellbeing and continued academic progress for pupils.

You will be involved in referrals, home visits and delivering hands-on help to families, contributing to a positive school ethos and strong professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children and families, with ability to make referrals and carry out home visits.
• Ability to provide practical help and support to families to raise engagement, aspiration and progress.
• Experience supporting safeguarding processes and liaising with Designated Safeguarding Leads.

This is a varied role that focusses in particular on supporting the Designated Safeguarding Leads in promoting the safety and wellbeing of our children and their families.

The job purpose is to ensure effective advice, guidance and support for families, children and young people in order to encourage engagement, raise standards, aspirations and facilitate academic progress.

You will have experience of making referrals, undertaking home visits and providing practical help and support to families.
