Job summary

The CYP Eating Disorder Therapist role at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a part-time contract based in Macclesfield. You will assess and treat children and young people with eating disorders within the East Cheshire 0-18 Eating Disorders Community Team.

Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual and group therapies, while training staff and liaising with CAMHS teams.

Qualifications

• Core qualification and national registration is required.
• Previous experience of working with Eating Disorders is advantageous.
• Experience working in CAMHS or with children and families is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and diagnosis of eating disorders
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Provide individual and group therapy
• Work with families to support their child’s recovery
• Provide education and training to staff and the public
• Liaise with generic community CYPMHS
• Work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists and other clinicians to offer a range of treatment options
• Train in Maudsley Family Based Treatment and other models
• Be part of a research and innovation focused team
