About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a visionary Chief Technology Officerto join a pioneering organisation in thecardiovascular medical devicessector. As CTO, you will play a critical role in driving technological innovation and leading the digital transformation of the organisation. You will oversee the development, integration, and deployment of cutting-edge technologies that enhance the delivery of life-saving cardiovascular solutions.

In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping the technology vision and aligning it with the company’s goals to maintain its position as an industry leader. You will guide the development of advanced medical devices and solutions that are crucial to improving patient outcomes and revolutionising the cardiovascular care landscape. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory, and product management, to ensure that all technologies meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technology strategy for the development and enhancement of cardiovascular medical devices, ensuring compliance with UK medical device regulations and industry best practices.
• Drive the innovation of digital health technologies such as AI, IoT, and remote monitoring systems to enhance cardiovascular care.
• Oversee the design and execution of scalable and secure technological solutions that optimise product performance and improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to integrate new technologies into product development, from concept through to clinical implementation.
• Mentor and manage a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with regulatory bodies, healthcare providers, and senior management to ensure timely delivery of market-leading products.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the cardiovascular field to ensure the development of products that meet real-world clinical needs.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a CTO or in senior leadership roles within the medical devices industry, with a strong focus on cardiovascular products.
• In-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape for medical devices in the UK, including MHRA approval and other relevant certifications.
• Expertise in advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, IoT, remote patient monitoring, and digital health solutions.
• Track record of digital transformation in medical device companies or healthcare technology organisations, especially in the development of cardiovascular devices.
• Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, clinical, regulatory, product management) to bring innovative products to market.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams, drive change, and innovate in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, clinical teams, and regulatory authorities.
