Job summary

IQVIA Discovery Sciences is seeking a visionary Chief Scientist, Modern Drug Discovery to shape the scientific vision at the forefront of AI-enabled drug discovery.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, drive translational biology strategies, and partner with clients to advance programmes from concept to clinic in a fast-evolving, data-centric environment.

This leadership role offers wide scope to influence technologies, partnerships, and strategy across IQVIA's global network.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in pharma/biotech (10+ years).
• Proven track record advancing discovery programmes from concept to clinic.
• Strong expertise in translational biology and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a forward-looking scientific strategy.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted design, predictive modelling, automation, and translational approaches.
• Provide scientific leadership across a diverse discovery portfolio.
• Support strategic client engagements, proposals, partnerships, and business growth.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams across biology, chemistry, protein design, pharmacology, and computational sciences.
