Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Chief Pharmacist to lead medicines use and pharmacy services across the Group. You will provide strategic leadership for medicines safety, governance, workforce development and medicines optimisation, reporting to senior group leadership and collaborating with hospital directors.

This senior role requires a track record of hospital pharmacy leadership, delivering service transformation and strong financial stewardship

Qualifications

• Recent practice in a leadership role within hospital pharmacy as a Chief Pharmacist.
• Experience leading transformational quality improvement projects.
• Experience managing multi-stakeholder conflicts among diverse groups.
• Solid knowledge of NHS financial systems, Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions.

Responsibilities

• Be the responsible officer for medicines use in the Group Trusts and WCFT.
• Manage delivery of Pharmacy Services per Trust strategic plan and the Medicines & Pharmacy Scheme of Delegation.
