Job summary

Bindbridge is seeking a Head of Operations to build and run the company’s operating infrastructure as we grow, owning the processes that let founders and the wider team stay focused on science, product and commercial priorities. Remote (UK time ±2 hours; UK preferred).

This hands-on role starts immediately and scales as the company expands, with you working directly with the founders to decide what to stop or start, maintain clarity, pace, and reliable systems across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in a high-performing startup or similarly demanding environment.
• Ability to take loosely defined problems and drive them through to completion.
• Judgment to build only the minimum needed to ensure reliability and avoid bureaucracy.
• Ability to distill complex issues into decisions, information, and recommendations.
• Good multi-workstream management with strong documentation standards.
• Willingness to undertake unglamorous work when required.
• Proficiency with AI tools, automation, and software to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Run the planning cycle turning priorities into owned, tracked work and support reporting.
• Own budget, financial model, cash-flow forecasting and monthly close; manage tax filings.
• Build infrastructure to hire, onboard and retain staff; manage lifecycle policies and performance processes.
• Own contracting across CROs, contractors, advisers and suppliers; coordinate with external counsel.
• Create lightweight systems to speed up operations and maintain truth across core tools.
• Oversee practices of a distributed team, including meetings, offsites, and equipment.
