Job summary

MMP Consultancy Limited is seeking a senior leader to oversee landlord compliance and building safety across residential housing stock in Bristol. You will drive regulatory assurance, lead multi-disciplinary teams and influence executive stakeholders to deliver safety and service excellence.

The role requires extensive knowledge of fire safety, gas, electrical, asbestos, legionella and related regulations, with a focus on continuous improvement and resident safety.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within housing, property services, compliance or building safety.
• Extensive knowledge of landlord compliance legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading large-scale compliance, safety and assurance programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
• Proven experience managing budgets, resources and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience preparing for and responding to regulatory inspections.
• A strong commitment to resident safety, service excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee landlord compliance and building safety services across residential housing stock.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, policies and procedures relating to asset safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure full compliance across key safety disciplines including Fire Safety, Gas, Electrical, Legionella, Asbestos, LOLER, Damp & Mould and Building Safety requirements.
• Lead on regulatory inspections, audits and assurance activities.
• Deliver compliance programmes on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
• Manage and develop specialist compliance teams, providing strong leadership and direction.
• Drive resident engagement and ensure customer feedback informs service improvements.
• Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, regulators and partner organisations.
• Monitor service performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with current and emerging legislation, regulation and industry best practice.
