Job summary

Ordnance Survey invites an experienced Head of Information Security to lead the security function, shaping strategy and delivering secure services across the organisation. This role focuses on risk management, resilience and trusted digital delivery in a critical national context.

Reporting to the CISO, you will steer security capabilities, incident response, governance and metrics, while collaborating with technology, product, operations and partners.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading information security or security operations functions.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and translate complex security challenges into practical organisational outcomes.
• Strong understanding of information security risk management, assurance, threat management and vulnerability management.
• Experience with recognised security frameworks, standards and maturity models.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation and continual improvement of OS's Information Security capability.
• Develop and deliver the Security Strategy and roadmap.
• Provide expert Information Security advice, guidance and assurance.
• Lead the response to cyber and information security incidents.
• Manage cyber and information security risk in line with governance requirements.
• Develop security reporting, metrics and insights for decision-making.
