Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting a Head of Fire Safety to lead the fire safety service across its acute and community sites. The post sets the Trust's fire safety policy, strategy and risk assessment, and advises the Board and senior leaders.

It covers a complex, multi-site estate and leads the fire safety team, budgets and suppliers. Flexible working will be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading NHS fire safety in a multi-site environment.
• Proven ability to develop and implement fire safety policies and risk assessments.
• Experience presenting to the Board and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fire safety service and develop long-term improvement programmes.
• Oversee audits, systems, training, investigations and compliance across acute and community sites.
• Advise the Board on strategy and regulatory compliance.
• Work with senior leaders, clinical teams, capital projects, contractors and emergency services to provide authoritative advice.
• Manage the fire safety team, budgets and suppliers.
• Monitor performance and present complex information to the Board.
• Ensure fire risks are effectively controlled and continuous improvements are delivered.
