What's the opportunity?
If you're a top-quality Chief Financial Officer / Finance Director frustrated with the confines of a normal corporate life and seeking something different, or an independent CFO who has already made the break from corporate life, or a working or returning CFO parent seeking more work flexibility and work-life balance, then read on—this might be for you.
You'll provide CFO services to ambitious private businesses (£2-50M), supporting owners to achieve their goals.
They're looking for individuals who are not just seeking a job but are passionate about helping clients reach new heights. You should be a self-starter with ambition, energy, and a 'can do' attitude, with a passion for client success, typically working with business owners, entrepreneurs, CEOs, or MDs.
Enjoy the challenge and autonomy of growing your own client portfolio, supported by a global network of CFOs. They share big dreams, and they expect you to have the same.
What do you need to have?
You must be qualified from a major UK chartered accounting institute and have held a CFO/FD position, with strong experience in commercial finance, business strategy, and a successful track record. Your 'special sauce' is your ability to build genuine, long-lasting client relationships—being part CFO, part advisor, part strategist, part friend. Clients should feel you genuinely care and are committed long-term.
Work closely with your Regional Director and team of CFOs in a collaborative environment that values family and care, creating a supportive workplace culture.
How does it work?
The role is self-employed within a defined model, combining team support with autonomy in delivering client outcomes. They teach you how to build your portfolio and succeed, offering the flexibility to work with multiple clients and add value daily. Their model is designed for those who want to be the captain of their own ship, balancing challenge, variety, and personal growth.
