The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at Transport for London (TfL) oversees the organisation’s budget to ensure sustainable funding for short-, medium- and long-term goals, including delivering the Mayor’s Transport Strategy. The CFO ensures financial stewardship across TfL’s business plan and Investment Programme and leads the Procurement & Commercial, Technology Products, and Operations functions. The role also shapes TfL’s Technology and Revenue Strategy. As a member of TfL’s Executive Committee and the Commissioner’s leadership team, the CFO shares collective accountability for strategic decision-making and the overall management of TfL.

Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning and analysis to inform TfL’s strategic decisions.
  • Secure multi-year funding to support long-term financial sustainability.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of the TfL business plan in collaboration with the Chief Customer & Strategy Officer.
