A prominent UK Trade Association seeks a CEO to lead and develop the strategic direction and initiatives that will support Members in facing challenges such as decarbonisation, sustainability, access to mineral resources, and regulatory issues.

The new CEO will ensure effective communication channels to represent Members' interests to stakeholders including Government, regulatory agencies, industry partners, and the public, highlighting the sector’s economic, social, and environmental contributions, and advocating for favorable policies to protect the industry's 'licence to operate.'

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Direction: Analyze the social/political environment, develop strategic initiatives, serve as the principal advisor to the Board, and lead the management team.
2. Sector Advocacy: Engage with stakeholders, maintain high-profile representation, and communicate policies effectively to influence government and regulatory decisions.
3. Member Engagement: Build relationships with Members, provide timely information, deliver high-quality services, and attract new Members.
4. Operational Management: Oversee safety, financial stewardship, legal compliance, foster innovation, and ensure operational efficiency.

What are we looking for in you?

• Senior executive experience, either within the Trade Association sector or related B2B sectors, with a passion to learn and sector expertise preferred in mineral products or construction.
• Management experience at Board level, strong financial and operational skills.
