About Snap Collective

Snap Collective is a remote-first, globally operating art book publisher redefining how exceptional artists bring their work to print. With a sharp focus on quality over quantity, we work with some of the most talented and internationally recognized visual artists, publishing only highly curated projects that reflect artistic excellence.

Our team of 30 operates across borders, united by a passion for contemporary art and a commitment to creating beautiful, lasting publications. As we enter a new phase of strategic growth, we're looking for a CEO to lead Snap Collective with vision, clarity, and cultural intelligence.

The Role

As CEO, you will guide Snap Collective's strategy, operations, and global artist relationships. You will shape and scale a creative, international company while ensuring we remain uncompromising in the quality and reputation of the work we publish.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and empower a 30-person international, remote-first team across editorial, artist support, design, logistics, and tech
  • Shape company strategy, growth initiatives, and operational structure
  • Maintain Snap's curatorial standards and support our mission to publish only the most exceptional artists worldwide
  • Represent Snap Collective at international art fairs, events, and partner meetings
  • Travel occasionally to cultural hubs like New York, Paris, Berlin, and others to meet artists or partners
  • Oversee business performance, budget, investor communications, and team structure
  • Champion artist experience — from initial conversation to finished book and beyond
  • Strengthen Snap's brand, partnerships, and positioning in the international art publishing world

Your Profile

  • Proven leadership experience (CEO, Managing Director, or equivalent role)
  • Outstanding communication skills and fluency in English (other languages a plus)
  • Deep respect for contemporary art and the artist's voice
  • Track record working with or leading distributed teams
  • Experience with high-curation creative or publishing businesses is a plus
  • Strong business acumen with empathy and collaborative spirit
  • Willingness to travel internationally for key meetings and events

Benefits

What We Offer

  • A leadership role in a highly selective, globally respected art publisher
  • A flexible, remote-first structure with a passionate and creative international team
  • A mission-driven company with strong values around artistic integrity and quality
  • Flat hierarchy, ownership opportunities, and real influence
  • Direct collaboration with renowned artists and institutions
