Parkrun is the world’s largest health and wellbeing movement, a UK-based global charity dedicated to making physical activity accessible to everyone, for free, forever. Founded in 2004 with just 13 runners and five volunteers in Bushy Park, South West London, parkrun has grown into a vibrant international community with over eleven million registrations, delivering more than 2,300 weekly events across 23 countries. Powered by tens of thousands of volunteers, parkrun is about far more than running—it’s about friendship, community, and supporting sustainable lifestyle change. Every weekend, in excess of 400,000 people of all ages and backgrounds come together to walk, jog, run, or volunteer, united by the belief that movement in the outdoors can transform lives, improve mental wellbeing, and foster a sense of community and belonging.

We are seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer. This is a rare opportunity to lead an organisation with deep purpose, grassroots energy, and global reach, at a pivotal time in our journey. You will work closely with a committed Board of Trustees and senior leadership team, talented global staff and passionate volunteers to deliver our ambitious five-year strategy, grow our worldwide impact, and ensure that the life-changing benefits of parkrun reach even more people.

As CEO, you will shape the future of one of the world’s most impactful public health interventions, influencing policy, advancing insight, and strengthening our position as a world-class charity.

You will need to show outstanding commercial acumen, financial stewardship, be adept at using technology to support growth and have a passion for health, wellbeing, and community.
