Job summary

The Commissioners of Northern LighthouseHouses invites applications for a Chief Engineer to oversee the safe and efficient operation of all technical systems on board our standby vessels. Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 Unlimited Chief Engineer’s III/2 Certificate of Competency.
• MCA ENG 1 medical certificate required.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and industry regulations.
• Experience in dynamic positioning advantageous.
• Proven ability to write accurate, detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, effective and efficient operation of all technical systems on board.
• Hold line management responsibility for the engine room team.
• Act as Safety Officer and perform related duties.
• Maintain vessel availability and compliance with standards.
