Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to lead transformation and innovation for a local government client. The role combines strategic advisory, architecture oversight and governance to deliver scalable digital services.

The CDO will engage senior authorities, shape strategic direction, drive transformation programmes and establish operating models that align technology with organisational goals and long-term readiness.

Qualifications

• Ability to translate objectives into transformation plans and roadmaps.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders and leading large transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of governance, architecture and enterprise transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic advisory activities for the Council and Version 1 accounts, guiding transformation priorities and business cases.
• Oversee strategy development, operating model design, and change management to realise measurable outcomes.
• Chair the Partner Advisory Group, coordinating partners, thought leadership and innovation activities.
• Drive roadmaps that link strategy, investment, delivery and benefits realisation.
• Ensure alignment of people, process, data and technology with Council priorities.
