Job summary

Cavendish Maine Recruitment is seeking a Head of Digitisation to define and lead the organisation's IT, digitisation and communications strategy in the UK. You will modernise systems, cut paper processes, drive automation, and embed technology to boost efficiency and customer focus.

You will shape long‑term roadmaps, lead large programmes, manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensure security and data standards, and champion a digital‑first culture across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading digital transformation at scale.
• Strong strategic planning and programme management.
• Expertise in automation, digital workflows, and modern enterprise tech.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Understanding of data management and system interoperability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Knowledge of AI, analytics, and intelligent automation.
• Professional certifications in MSP/PRINCE2/Agile.

Responsibilities

• Define, lead and deliver IT support, digitisation and communications strategy.
• Modernise system usage, remove paper processes, drive automation.
• Provide leadership across digital and communication programmes.
• Shape long-term roadmap for digital and communications capabilities.
• Focus on automation, AI adoption, and process optimisation.
• Champion a digital-first culture.
• Lead large-scale digitisation programmes from concept to delivery.
• Oversee implementation of digital tools, platforms, workflows.
• Evaluate digital platforms and oversee procurement, configuration, integration.
• Drive end-to-end process digitisation across key business areas.
• Establish org-wide standards for digital records, data quality, interoperability.
• Ensure cyber security, data protection, accessibility compliance.
• Carry out tasks commensurate with role as directed by a Manager.
