Job summary

United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority is seeking a seasoned Head of Cyber Security to shape and execute the organisation‑wide cyber strategy. You will act as the principal adviser to executive leadership, owning the governance framework and overseeing risk, resilience and incident response across enterprise IT, scientific computing, OT and research environments.

The role requires strategic leadership, deep technical credibility, and the ability to engage with government and regulators.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an enterprise cyber security function.
• Ability to advise executive leadership on cyber risk and strategy.
• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver UKAEA's cyber security strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Lead the cyber security function and governance framework.
• Oversee enterprise cyber risk, governance and investment prioritisation.
• Lead cyber security budgeting and resource allocation.
• Represent UKAEA with government, regulators and partners.
