LGC Group Ltd, a leading international life sciences tools company, is seeking a Director of Cyber Security Operations to lead and evolve its global security operations. You will partner directly with the CISO, drive risk-informed decisions, and lead a high-performing, hands-on team across threat detection, response and resilience.

You’ll oversee an outsourced SOC and shape the security roadmap, balancing strategic leadership with practical technical execution to protect critical infrastructure

Qualifications

• Experience leading cyber security operations within a complex or international organisation.
• Strong leadership and people development skills with a collaborative approach.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting and security engineering.
• Ability to translate technical risks into clear business priorities and actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape cyber security operations across threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management and resilience.
• Oversee and optimise the outsourced SOC partnership to ensure capability and process alignment.
• Act as technical authority during major incidents and guide executive stakeholders through critical decisions.
• Hands-on with security tools, investigations, troubleshooting and improvements to strengthen capabilities.
• Collaborate with the CISO and senior leaders to align security with business strategy.
• Define the cyber security roadmap and investment priorities for the global technology environment.
• Build and develop a high-performing security operations team; foster mentorship and growth.
• Champion innovation in tooling, automation, threat intelligence and detection capabilities.
