Job summary

FORTE ICT seeks a Head of Compliance to lead policy, risk, data protection, internal audit and business continuity across the organisation. You will set a coherent framework, govern regulatory obligations and provide independent assurance to the board. Strong leadership and UK GDPR expertise are essential.

You will work with senior management to align compliance with strategy, manage external regulators, and ensure operational practicality while protecting integrity.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in governance, risk and compliance
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection
• Experience reporting to Boards or governance bodies
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas
• Collaborative across Finance, Procurement and IT
• Experience coordinating internal audit activities (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a coherent data, policy, risk, internal audit, business continuity and compliance framework across the organisation.
• Provide strategic oversight of policy framework, data protection, business continuity, internal audit and risk management.
• Act as expert authority on regulatory compliance and data governance with independent assurance to ensure governance and risk management.
• Develop and maintain the Group risk register and reporting to governance bodies.
• Coordinate contracts, NDAs and regulatory obligations with Legal advisory teams.
• Report on compliance to Audit and Trustee Board and oversee procurement regulatory requirements.
