Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Site Manager in Cheshire to lead safe, compliant and efficient operations at a biomass fuel production site. You will oversee safety, environmental compliance, production, maintenance, and budgets while guiding a skilled on-site team and managing key customer relationships.

The role requires WAMITAB/COTC, IOSH or equivalent, and a Level 5 leadership qualification, with a strong background in waste management, fuel production or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• WAMITAB/COTC is essential.
• IOSH or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum Level 5 in leadership apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Experience in operations management in waste management, fuel production or manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading production facilities and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, compliant and efficient site operation.
• Deliver biomass fuel production to meet quality and demand.
• Drive safety, environmental standards and cost performance.
• Use KPIs and reporting to improve safety, production and quality.
• Own fuel quality control and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate deliveries with contracts, logistics and customers.
• Develop and manage on-site teams and shift handovers.
• Identify and manage operational and contractual risks.
• Plan maintenance to maximise plant availability.
• Manage budgets and resources for cost-effective operations.
• Drive waste reduction and efficiency improvements.
