Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the Chemotherapy Scheduler within the Pembroke Admin Team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role focuses on efficient booking and scheduling of anti-cancer treatment on the Pembroke unit and Mobile Cancer Care Unit.

You will work with the multidisciplinary team, handle emails and calls, and manage workloads under pressure to meet tight deadlines, while maintaining high standards of patient service.

Qualifications

• GCSE English language at grade C or above.
• Effective communication skills in person and on the telephone.
• Ability to plan, organise and manage own workload.
• Ability to deal with sensitive issues with staff, patients and relatives.
• Ability to use and work on own initiative as well as a team.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy regimes.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate scheduling of anti-cancer treatment using a bespoke system.
• Respond to email and telephone queries from patients, multidisciplinary teams and other health care professionals.
• Work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines, prioritising workload quickly and accurately.
• Work as part of the Pembroke Admin Team, Oncology and Haematology admin teams and wider clinical MDT.
