Overview

A Vacancy at East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust. We are recruiting for a Chemotherapy Registered Nurse - Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. We specialise in the administration of systemic anti-cancer therapies such as cytotoxic chemotherapy, targeted therapies and immunotherapy agents. We also administer supportive treatments. We treat patients with a variety of cancer types in both the curative and palliative setting. At the heart of everything we do are our core values: Include, Respect, and Improve. Responsibilities
  • The Chemotherapy Registered Nurse will undertake and assist in the safe administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies within the Oncology-Haematology client group, whilst also providing ongoing support to patients and their carers.
  • You will ensure that nursing care within the chemotherapy unit is a high standard and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and standards and adheres to the Unit’s philosophy.
  • The post holder will provide a high quality service of care to patients and significant others and to promote a good learning environment. To support the Senior Nurse for Chemotherapy Services in all aspects of that role, as well as the other members of the team.
  • The successful candidate would ideally have some experience of working within oncology and delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatment; however full training will be provided to the right person.
