Impact Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a specialist high‑tech manufacturer to recruit a Chemistry Technician to join its technical operations team in Towcester, Northamptonshire. Qualifications

• HNC or degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of analytical techniques (chromatography, mass spectrometry).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Good IT and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory testing: collect environmental samples and perform analytical testing.
• Chemical preparation: mix chemicals and etching solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Chemical safety: assist with safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals.
• Environmental monitoring: support routine sampling and site inspections.
• Quality and documentation: maintain records and equipment logs.
• Risk assessment: identify hazards and support safety investigations.
• Production support: assist manufacturing teams and perform chemical cleaning of components.
• Training and guidance: contribute to chemical safety inductions for new colleagues.
