Job summary

Pate's Grammar School is seeking a Science Technician to support our Science Department, predominantly with our Chemistry team, and to assist other teams as required. You will help organise practical lessons, prepare materials, ensure equipment and stock are managed, and maintain a safe, tidy learning environment for KS4/KS5, and the wider school.

The role suits someone who can work independently or as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in science laboratories is desirable.
• Knowledge of chemistry is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Organise practical lessons and ensure materials are available on time.
• Keep areas clean, tidy and well organised; ensure equipment is maintained.
• Assist the Chemistry team and be flexible to support other science areas as needed.
• Manage stock levels and assist with routine safety checks.
