Job summary

Alignerr is seeking chemistry experts to evaluate and improve AI systems trained on advanced scientific content. You will shape how AI understands and reasons through complex chemistry problems, making a real impact on the future of scientific AI.

Design advanced chemistry problems, develop clear step-by-step solutions, evaluate outputs for accuracy, collaborate with researchers, and provide actionable feedback to improve model performance. Remote, hourly, 10–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed a Master's degree in Chemistry or closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly in writing.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced chemistry problems to rigorously test AI performance across topics like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with precise, well-structured reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI model performance.
