Job summary

OneSchool Global UK Biggleswade Campus is seeking a Campus Laboratory Technician to support the delivery of high-quality Science education. You will prepare, maintain, and safely manage laboratory resources, assisting teachers and students during practical lessons.

The role focuses on safety, stock control, and accurate record-keeping to ensure well-organised labs and compliant preparation areas for daily science activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory, educational setting, or similar environment.
• Good understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident managing equipment, resources, and stock control.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Committed to supporting young people and the school community.
• Science-related qualification or school lab experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials for practical Science lessons.
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring it remains in good working order.
• Managing and monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies when required.
• Ensuring the safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials.
• Supporting teachers and students during practical activities where appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate records relating to equipment, chemicals, and health and safety requirements.
• Ensuring laboratories and preparation areas remain organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assisting with risk assessments and supporting safe laboratory practices.
