Job summary

Brigg Scientific Recruitment Ltd. seeks a Lab Technician to support the analytical testing team, covering QC, R&D and customer support in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemistry analysis including titration, pH testing, moisture and conductivity.
• Prepare samples for subsequent HPLC analysis.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of results.
• Sign off on testing results following quality systems.
• Uphold lab stewardship and compliant practices within a regulated environment.

Job description

This Brigg Scientific client are a Chemical Manufacturer in Birmingham and they are looking for a Lab Technician to support their Analytical testing team, for both QC, R&D and Customer Support.

Key duties:

• Wet Chemistry Analysis involving titration, pH testing, moisture and conductivity.
• Bespoke testing specific to manufactured products
• Sample preparation for further HPLC analysis
• Accurate record keeping
• Responsibility for testing sign off.
• General Lab stewardship
• Following regulated quality systems

Successful candidates will have a background in Scientific education or work experience. Applications are welcomes from recent graduates or those with work experience in the Sciences. Those with Chemistry focused degrees/experience will have a distinct advantage.

This is a contract role running for 14 months to cover a Maternity leave.

Rate of pay will be £12.99/hr for a 37 hour week. Equivalent salary of circa £25,000. Hours are Monday to Thursday 7am - 3.30pm. Friday 7am - 12pm
