Job summary

EDF (UK) is offering a 12-month Chemistry Industrial Placement at the Heysham 2 Power Station. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a junior role within the Chemistry Team, supported by mentors, applying your chemistry knowledge to real energy industry challenges.

Starting salary is £26,050 with a strong benefits package. You’ll develop practical skills in chemical safety, control, data automation and condition monitoring while working on-site in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a 2:2 in Chemistry.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Security Vetting may require UK residency for the past 3 of 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and communications improvements.
• Assist in running, maintaining and developing the condition monitoring programme.
• Contribute to data automation and analytical techniques in the chemistry team.
• Learn from experienced colleagues and apply academic knowledge to real industry challenges.
• Work on site at Heysham 2 Power Station and collaborate with multiple teams.

Education

2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Chemistry
