EDF Energy invites you to join its Chemistry Industrial Placement at Heysham 2 for 12 months. You’ll apply your chemistry knowledge to real-world challenges, learn from experienced mentors, and take on responsibilities in a junior role within our operations.

The programme offers a starting salary of £26,050, access to a market-leading pension, and a range of benefits while you develop skills in safety, data automation and condition monitoring at a nuclear site.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Chemistry.
• Eligibility to work in the UK required; sponsorship may be possible but priority to those with the right to work in the UK.
• Must meet Security Vetting criteria, including a UK residence history.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in a junior role within the Chemistry Team.
• Support chemical safety, control, and data automation learning opportunities.
• Contribute to condition monitoring and analytical techniques.
• Learn from mentors and apply academic knowledge to real-world energy industry challenges.
