Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a multidisciplinary Project Engineer for a chemical manufacturing site in West Yorkshire. The role focuses on delivering CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning, with strong autonomy and ownership of technically challenging activities.

You will work with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, SHE, Procurement and external contractors to manage scope, cost, schedule and safety, ensuring COMAH, process safety standards and risk management are

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years' project engineering experience in a process manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience delivering projects through engineering, construction and commissioning.
• Knowledge of COMAH and Process Safety.
• Hands-on, site-based with multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects within scope, budget, schedule and safety requirements.
• Develop robust project scopes and support CAPEX processes.
• Support contractor and vendor selection and management.
• Coordinate engineering resources across multiple disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with COMAH and process safety standards.
• Assist with PHA/HAZOP and safety activities.
• Provide input into reporting, cost control, milestones and risk.
• Support construction, commissioning and handover, including documentation.
