Job summary

DC Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Chemical Production Operative to join a busy production team on a temporary basis, covering paternity leave. You will assist in blending chemicals, stock control, deliveries, and storage, with a mandatory Reach Truck Licence.

Initial morning training week, then afternoon shift. The role suits someone with manufacturing, chemical production or warehouse experience who can work safely and accurately within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Reach Truck Licence required.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, chemical or warehouse.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Able to follow written instructions and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately blend chemical formulations in line with approved procedures and production specifications.
• Receive, unload and check incoming chemical deliveries.
• Ensure chemicals and finished blends are stored, labelled and organised.
• Carry out regular stock checks and maintain stock rotation.
• Ensure correct chemical mixes are available to production when required.
• Clean mixing tanks and empty IBC containers to prevent contamination.
• Carry out production line wash-throughs and change IBCs when required.
• Complete equipment and forklift checks, reporting any defects or issues.
• Follow safe chemical handling procedures and respond to spills.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, quality and health & safety.
• Provide support across production and warehouse areas when required.

Chemical Production Operative (Reach Truck Licence Required)

The Role

DC Personnel are currently recruiting for a Chemical Production Operative to join our client's busy production team on a temporary basis, providing cover for a period of paternity leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing, chemical production or warehousing who is looking to join an established team.

The successful candidate will play an important role in the preparation and blending of chemical products, ensuring all formulations are mixed accurately and safely in line with production requirements. You will also be responsible for chemical stock control, deliveries, storage and supporting the wider production operation.

A valid Reach Truck Licence is essential for this position.

• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a busy production environment.

Working Hours

The successful candidate will initially work the morning shift for the first four weeks to allow for training.

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm

Following Training - Afternoon Shift:

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
