Job summary

Urenco, a global leader in low carbon energy, seeks an Operator 2 Chem Process at Capenhurst. You will join a multi-skilled team supporting chemical and enrichment facilities to achieve operational KPIs safely and efficiently.

Role includes executing tasks per procedures, maintaining zero-harm standards, and coordinating SSOW/capability updates. Urenco offers strong training, mentoring, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Grade C or above in English, Maths and Science or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Process/Craft apprentice or equivalent Chemical/Nuclear Process plant operating experience.
• Knowledge of Plant safety cases, environmental permits, radiological and security procedures.
• Understanding of plant systems and safety-related systems.
• Proficiency with site computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks per approved procedures safely and consistently.
• Promote Zero Harm and maintain a safe, reliable working environment.
• Carry out Emergency roles as per Capenhurst plans.
• Hold roles within and execute the SSOW process.
• Maintain personal competency and training records.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Carry out reliability activities on plant/equipment per schedule.
• Ensure plant/equipment are available for work as per maintenance plan.
