Job summary

Crown Peterborough is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to join a world-class manufacturing team on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. The role involves managing washers, water treatment and filtration systems, performing running repairs and adjustments to maintain equipment within strict operating parameters.

You'll assist in trials and installation/commissioning, supporting changeovers and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with chemicals in a production or engineering environment.
• Strong emphasis on health and safety and process discipline.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee washers, water treatment and filtration systems.
• Perform running repairs and adjustments to keep equipment within operating parameters.
• Assist in trials and installation/commissioning of equipment and size changeovers.

The Opportunity

Join our team and play a vital role in supporting the production of high-quality printed cans in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll be responsible for washers, water treatment and filtration systems, conducting running repairs and adjustments to maintain equipment within specified operating parameters. You will assist in trials and installation/commissioning of equipment and size changeovers.

What You'll Bring

You’ll have a drive for continuous improvement with a 'can-do' attitude, and a strong commitment to health and safety. You will have experience working with chemicals in a production or engineering setting, you'll thrive in an environment where teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.

A Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent in a mechanical or chemical discipline is essential, alongside experience working within a can washer and water treatment process is desirable but not essential.
