Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Church Stretton seeks a hands-on Production Operator to support chemical manufacturing. You will prepare equipment, calibrate materials, and run processes in a safe, compliant environment, contributing to quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, calibrate, and set up equipment and raw materials for production activities.
• Operate and monitor large-scale chemical manufacturing processes.
• Manufacture and process products in line with documented procedures.
• Accurately record production activities, material movements, and deviations.
• Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and safety in production.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Work in accordance with Health & Safety and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

The Church Stretton Chemistries Centre of Excellence specializes in the design and manufacture of silica and polymeric particles for diagnostics, solid-phase synthesis, and chromatographic applications. Our products support a wide range of industries including biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, food safety, environmental testing, academia, chemicals, and advanced materials.

The products you help manufacture will have a meaningful impact on improving quality of life globally. From supporting cancer and disease diagnostics to enabling mRNA vaccine development and antibody analysis, your work will contribute to technologies that make a real difference.

What You'll Do:

• Working in accordance with Health & Safety and Quality Management System requirements (ISO 9001:2015)
• Preparing, calibrating, and setting up equipment and raw materials for production activities
• Operating and monitoring large-scale chemical manufacturing processes
• Manufacturing and processing products in accordance with documented procedures
• Accurately recording production activities, material movements, and process deviations
• Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and safety within the production environment
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality

Qualifications

Previous experience with large-scale chemical processes in a manufacturing or laboratory setting is advantageous but not essential. With the right attitude, practical skills, and attention to detail, our comprehensive training programme will ensure your success.
