Job Description

CK Group are recruiting for a Chemical Engineer, to join a chemical manufacturing company, based in Derbyshire. This position will provide engineering leadership in process safety aspects for the site. This is a permanent role.

The Company:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of advanced chemicals, supplying to many companies worldwide.

Your main duties will be:

  • Develop and implement process safety management systems.
  • Lead and manage process safety aspects of a chemical process site.
  • Provide expert guidance on current legal requirements for hazardous chemicals handling.
  • Provide process safety related technical design competence and guidance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety studies and hazard analyses.
  • Manage the review and update of the site COMAH report.


Your Background:

  • Degree level qualification in a science or engineering subject such as bachelors degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, etc.
  • Process safety qualification such as NEBOSH certificate.
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in high hazard manufacturing industry or COMAH facility.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in specific Process Safety Engineering job roles.
