Job summary

Lucas Love Associates is recruiting experienced Chefs/Cooks to provide catering services in care home environments around Belfast. The role offers flexible (temporary/ part-time) hours with competitive pay rates and holiday pay.

Strong hygiene standards and experience in a care home are essential. Successful applicants will join a team delivering high-quality meals, maintaining COSHH/HACCP procedures, and upholding excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care home environment.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Willing to complete an Access NI Check.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• Food Hygiene Certificates 1 & 2; COSHH/HACCP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in care home environments.
• Deliver a high standard of catering and service.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in kitchen.
• Work flexibly on temporary/part-time shifts.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience working within a care home environment
• A minimum of 1 years recent paid employment within a catering setting
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
• Food Hygiene Certificate 1 & 2 and knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substance Hazardous to Health), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control points)
• A high level of hygiene and cleanliness in line with Strict Health and Safety requirements
• Experience on delivering an effective and efficient service
• A genuine interest in working within a nursing care setting
• Dedication and creativity to provide a high standard of catering
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Willing to complete an Access NI Check
