Job summary

MCL Resourcing is recruiting Chefs and Cooks to work across residential and nursing home sites in Southport and surrounding areas, with flexible shifts and a focus on delivering nutritious meals.

This Temporary/Relief role offers weekly pay at £15.74 per hour, opportunities for staff pension, training, and ongoing career development through our app-driven scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of paid UK experience in a professional kitchen (employment references required).
• A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or higher).
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
• Right to Work in the UK.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for talented Chefs and Cooks to join our MCL Resourcing family. In this role, you will provide excellent culinary skills to our clients within local Residential and Nursing Homes. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals to a high standard across various healthcare sites.

What You Need (Essential Requirements)

• Experience: Minimum 6 months of paid UK experience within a professional kitchen environment (employment references will be required).

• Qualifications: A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or higher).

• Compliance: An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to undergo one).

• Legal Status: You must have the legal Right to Work in the UK.

• Communication: A good standard of English with the ability to communicate effectively with care home staff and residents.
