Job summary

The Berkeley Scott Group is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our agency team for exciting opportunities across schools and catering businesses in and around Rushden starting in September.

In this role you will manage busy kitchen operations, lead and motivate teams, plan nutritious meals and maintain food hygiene and allergen standards. Flexible agency assignments and competitive hourly pay of £18.00-£24.00 offer you variety and security.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience as Chef Manager or similar kitchen management role.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in schools or contract catering desirable.
• Two satisfactory references and Enhanced DBS certificate.
• The right to work in the UK; driving licence/vehicle advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens.
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams.
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Maintaining food hygiene, health & safety and allergen standards.
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste.
• Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations.
