Job summary

Berkeley-Scott in Rushden is recruiting experienced Chef Managers for temporary agency work starting in September. The role pays £18.00–£24.00 per hour depending on experience and end employer and involves managing daily kitchen operations across schools and various catering businesses.

You will oversee food preparation, lead kitchen teams and ensure high standards of service, with flexible agency assignments to suit availability. DBS and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens

• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
