Job summary

Berkeley-Scott is seeking experienced Chef Managers for flexible agency work across Canterbury and surrounding areas, starting in September. Earn £18.00–£24.00 per hour depending on experience and the end employer, with temporary assignments across schools and various catering sites.

Responsibilities include daily kitchen operations, staff leadership, and ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as Chef Manager or similar kitchen leadership role.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in schools or contract catering desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations.
• Lead and support kitchen staff.
• Plan and deliver nutritious meals.
• Maintain food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards.
• Manage stock, ordering and minimise waste.
