Job summary

Bowood Court Care Home in Redditch, Worcestershire, part of Care Concern Group, seeks a Chef Manager to lead the kitchen and deliver nutritious meals for residents. You will plan and cook fresh dishes, reflect dietary needs, and maintain high standards of presentation.

You will manage rotas, budgets, stock, and supplier relationships, while ensuring HACCP, COSHH and infection prevention compliance. Alternate weekends apply.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy kitchen, ideally for 25 covers or more in a care setting.
• Food Hygiene Certificate and strong knowledge of HACCP, COSHH and food safety laws.
• Experience leading, supervising and developing a kitchen team.
• Ability to plan menus reflecting residents' dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team to deliver high‑quality, nutritious meals.
• Plan, prepare and cook meals while reflecting resident preferences and dietary requirements.
• Oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations: rotas, budgets, stock control and supplier relations.
• Ensure safety, hygiene and compliance with HACCP, COSHH and infection prevention procedures.
