Job summary

Gather & Gather UK in Oxfordshire is seeking a Chef Manager to lead the kitchen during high-volume service, overseeing up to 200 covers and delivering exceptional plated dishes.

The role requires managing and developing a team of up to 6 chefs, ensuring food safety compliance and delivering premium, budget-conscious menus for conferences and events. Weekend availability may be required occasionally.

• Deliver a high-quality, budget-controlled menu with a focus on premium plated meals.
• Manage, train, and support kitchen staff, ensuring food safety compliance and efficient service during peak periods.
• Drive culinary innovation and sales growth by delivering exceptional food standards, pushing boundaries, and leading from the front—collaborating closely with the team to showcase and maximise the use of seasonal and client-led products.
• Managing up to 6 chefs.

Rate of Pay: £40,170.00 Per annum

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, weekend availability required occasionally due to business needs

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen during high-volume service, managing up to 200 covers at peak periods, ensuring consistent quality, timing, and presentation of high-end plated dishes, including the daily main course offer.
• Deliver a high-quality, budget-controlled menu with a focus on premium plated meals
• Manage, train, and support kitchen staff, ensuring strong performance, food safety compliance, and efficient service during peak periods.
• Drive culinary innovation and sales growth by delivering exceptional food standards, pushing boundaries, and leading from the front—collaborating closely with the team to showcase and maximise the use of seasonal and client-led products
• Managing up to 6 chefs
