Chef Manager (Tingley)
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to join a busy catering operation in Tingley. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day catering service, managing a team and ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, service, safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Control
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure records are completed accurately.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, waste and food costs.
- Complete regular stock takes and financial reporting.
- Ensure opening, closing and handover procedures are followed.
- Attend team briefings, meetings and training as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork and records are completed accurately and on time.
- Identify and report service, safety or performance issues to management.
- Support the wider catering operation as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Chef Manager, Chef Supervisor or similar catering leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety.
- Experience supervising and motivating a catering team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- The, ability to work independently and make decisions during busy service periods.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A relevant catering qualification or equivalent, such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, HND or similar.
- Intermediate Food Safety qualification.

- Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
- Salary: £33000 per annum plus our Sodexo employee benefits package
