Job summary

Contract Options is seeking a Chef Manager to lead a large secondary school catering operation in Woking, overseeing kitchen, front of house and Sixth Form Café. You will manage a team of 10, including a chef and supervisor, driving high standards and a hands-on approach.

The role includes budgeting, P&L reporting to the Operations Manager and building strong relationships with the headmaster to deliver fresh, scratch-cooked meals at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in education catering, ideally in a large secondary school.
• Must be well organised and able to work under pressure.
• Able to manage high-volume, scratch cooking and busy service periods.
• Strong leadership, organisational and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the kitchen, front of house and Sixth Form Café, including a strong grab-and-go offer.
• Build a good rapport with the headmaster.
• Lead, develop and motivate a stable, experienced team.
• Deliver high-quality, freshly prepared food at scale.
