Job summary

Aramark UK at Dishforth Airfield near Thirsk, YO7 3EZ, is seeking a Chef to lead production and maintain high kitchen standards for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will manage food levels to minimise wastage and support new team members with learning procedures.

You will follow recipe cards, help with deliveries and stock checks, monitor temperatures, complete daily paperwork and assist with deep cleans. A relevant culinary qualification and the right to work in the UK are required; DBS checks

Qualifications

• Relevant culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent).
• Excellent team player and communicator.
• A confident chef.
• Security checks and DBS required for this role.
• Flexibility and the ability to innovate.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner services with minimal wastage.
• Providing fine dining (silver service level) for functions/hospitality events.
• Training/coach for new team members on procedures and standards.
• Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve meals.
• Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
• Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries.
• Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence.
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
